Immigration searches happen in multiple languages and reference visa categories most agencies have never heard of. Precision in the content beats volume.

The problem
These are the problems we see most often in immigration law accounts before we take them over.
The fix
Week 1
A full read of your current immigration law visibility: rankings, ad spend efficiency, tracking accuracy and the three competitors taking your calls.
Weeks 2–3
Tracking fixed first. There is no point optimising against numbers that are wrong, and most accounts we inherit have broken conversion tracking.
Month 2+
SEO and content build the base while paid covers the gap. As organic rankings climb, paid spend gets reallocated rather than increased.
Ongoing
Monthly reporting on booked work, not impressions. If the number is not moving, we say so and change the plan.
The niche
Demand here moves with policy, not with the calendar. A rule change or a filing window can multiply searches for one category overnight and flatten another. Your prospects search in several languages, often from outside the US, and many have been burned by notarios, so trust signals do more work than in any other practice area. Case values run from a single form filing to years of removal defense, so a blended cost per lead hides more than it shows.

The checklist
If you are already working with an agency, this is a useful list to hold them to. If you are not, it is what we build first.

If Spanish-speaking clients are a real share of your book, yes — properly translated pages with their own URLs, not a browser translate widget. Half-measures are visible and they cost trust. Start with the practice areas you actually want more of, translated by someone who knows immigration terminology, and make sure whoever answers the phone speaks the language the ad was written in. That last part is where most firms fall down.
Move it quickly. Search demand shifts within days of an announcement, and the firms that reallocate first pick up the categories that just spiked. Keep a shortlist of secondary practice areas with pages already built so you are not writing from scratch mid-surge. Pause rather than delete the affected campaigns; policy reverses, and the historical performance data is worth keeping when it does.
Do not compete on price — compete on consequence. Content explaining what happens when a filing is wrong, who is legally allowed to give immigration advice, and what a licensed attorney does differently converts the people considering the cheap option. Attorney bios, bar admissions, languages spoken and case-type depth all matter here. It is slower than a price message, and it brings clients who do not leave over a small fee difference.
