Dentists marketing

Dental marketing that fills the schedule, not just the inbox

A dental practice does not need more leads — it needs more of the specific procedures with margin. Campaigns segmented by procedure change the mix, not just the volume.

Dentists marketing

The problem

What usually goes wrong

These are the problems we see most often in dentists accounts before we take them over.

  • New patient specials attracting one-visit price shoppers
  • Implant and ortho enquiries buried in general hygiene traffic
  • Insurance questions consuming front-desk time

The fix

How the engagement runs

  1. Week 1

    Audit

A full read of your current dentists visibility: rankings, ad spend efficiency, tracking accuracy and the three competitors taking your calls.

  2. Weeks 2–3

    Foundation

Tracking fixed first. There is no point optimising against numbers that are wrong, and most accounts we inherit have broken conversion tracking.

  3. Month 2+

    Compound

SEO and content build the base while paid covers the gap. As organic rankings climb, paid spend gets reallocated rather than increased.

  4. Ongoing

    Report on jobs

Monthly reporting on booked work, not impressions. If the number is not moving, we say so and change the plan.

The niche

What makes dentists different

Your constraint is chair time, not enquiry volume, so the real question is which procedures fill it. Insurance mix drives everything: a PPO-heavy practice competes on convenience and availability, while a fee-for-service practice has to build trust before the patient ever calls. Demand is predictably seasonal — benefits expire at year end, deductibles reset in January — and high-value cases like implants and ortho involve weeks of consideration plus a financing conversation.

General dentistry competes on proximity, insurance acceptance and reviews — a map-pack and Business Profile game. High-value work — implants, clear aligners, cosmetic, full-arch — behaves like elective retail, with a longer consideration window and real price comparison, and often justifies its own campaigns and landing pages separate from the "new patient" funnel.

The checklist

What a well-run dentists account has in place

If you are already working with an agency, this is a useful list to hold them to. If you are not, it is what we build first.

  • A Google Business Profile with current hours, full service list, real photos and a steady review flow
  • Separate landing pages and campaigns for high-value procedures, not just a general new-patient page
  • Online scheduling wired into campaigns, with the phone path kept short for everyone else
  • Insurance and financing information visible early, since it is a top pre-booking question

Questions

Dentists: common questions

It works if the offer is a gateway to treatment you actually want and your team can convert it. A discounted exam that mostly attracts people who never return costs you chair time twice. Look at what those patients accept over the following year before you judge the campaign. Practices moving toward fee-for-service usually do better leading with availability, a specific problem solved, or a membership plan than with a price cut.
